BACKGROUND:
New Residential College Program Planning Committee (NRCPPC)

"Realizing the Vision" is the overarching planning document prepared by MSU Provost (and now MSU President-Designate) Lou Anna K. Simon in February 2004. A summary overview of the vision and the planning document can be found at:

http://realizingthevision.msu.edu

The general Realizing the Vision webpage offers several options for additional 'drill-down',including Web material on focus groups, committees, etc.

It is important to understand that there are 5 committees working concurrently and in concert with one another on the various aspects of the vision statement.

The New Residential College Program Planning Committee (NRCPPC) is the committee specifically tasked to research and report on the prospects for a new residential program in 'liberal arts and sciences' at MSU.

Provost Simon's March 15 (2004) mission statement to the NRCPPC committee can be accessed (as an Adobe Acrobat / PDF file) at:

http://www.msu.edu/unit/provost/Res_Coll_chg.pdf

The specific website for NRCPPC itself is at:
