JMC Students Involved in Balm in Gilead Theatre Production
(Fall Quarter 1974: Presented in early December 1974 in McDonel Kiva)

This group photo was sent in by former JMC theatre instructor Sears Eldredge. It shows a group of JMC students mugging for the camera. R. Sue Dodea has identified these subjects as having been involved in the JMC production of Balm in Gilead. This production was done during Fall Quarter 1974 and presented in early December 1974. Gary Steele has also emailed with a tentative identification of one of the students. Henry (Hank) Ferree emailed with further ID info, and Chris Convissor emailed with info on what the photo's context was...

Thanks, Sears, R. Sue, Gary, Hank, and Chris!

If you can ID any of the as-yet 'unidentified' JMC students in the photo, please Cont@ct the Editor.

PHOTOGRAPHER / CONTEXT:
Chris Convissor wrote in (July 2004) with the following:

"Actually Randy, I think I took the picture after we got done *temporarily borrowing* some 2x4's from the Art building and I do believe it was taken at Baker after our dastardly deed. In fact I think I have another pic of the lead actor ( next to Colleen) sneaking a 2x4 off.

I had a budget of 161 dollars and a couple of hammers and handsaws to build the sets. These folks helped me do most of the building and mmmm *gathering of supplies*. We were a few boards short of a full set...hmm could be said about a few things we did back then...

Anyway, check with Sears, I think I gave him the black and white."

THANKS! for helping to identify these people should go to:
R. Sue Dodea, Hank Ferree, Gary Steele, Chris Convissor
